Then he smiled at me ...

"He had always imagined falling in love with a smile, followed by a romantic first date ending with a handshake, followed by dinner-and-movie dates ending with hugs, followed by a starry magical night and a spontaneous ... kiss.

"From there, he and his buddy would agree to wait a whole year to have sex, which would finally happen on their unofficial wedding night. Of course, once they’d progressed to the kissing stage, there’d be a lot of dry humping and wet stains on the fronts of their jeans.

"And once they were bonded in 'marriage,' there’d be no territory out of bounds, and nothing the buddies wouldn’t do for one another."
