"You'll be one of the lucky ones," said so many encouraging voices all those years ago.As if I was going to somehow defy both science and science fiction and live far into the future, well beyond the AIDS crisis of the 1980s and 90s.
Turns out, those voices were right. I was one of the lucky ones. Anything truly is possible.
For 25 years and counting, I've been lucky to be living with AIDS.
